Rohit’s design approaches try to explore the right mix of least carbon footprint, recyclable, natural materials and passive lighting and ventilation, complementing its natural textures and colors to deliver an artful feel. Light is the core idea for designing a building and he centralize the entire design around it which aimed at creating maximum space on the plot available and maximizing light penetration across the buildings. The space is supposed to serve the users not only in terms of functions, but also to make nature the core of the built, says Rohit. Architecture for Nestcraft is ‘inventing lifestyles’ in a macro level and in a micro level it is doing utmost justification to the environment, functionality and practicality of the spaces and architecture as a product, a conscious response to the budget of the client and to innovate maximum within the limitations. As a young practice Nestcraft started off with projects having high budget limitations and now it had turned up to be the practice philosophy, to work on limits, to reduce usage of resources, materials, space and energy. Nestcraft look forward to reduce a square feet of built area and educate the user about that really not needed room in the design program.
